Letter from the Fertile Field editorial team
Dear Fertile Field Readers,
We have almost reached our second anniversary of publishing Fertile Field on the web! It was in November of 2001 that the former Office of Youth Affairs decided to go digital, saving thousands of dollars and allowing us to extend our reader base exponentially. Since then, Fertile Field has matured and grown, and starting with this edition, we intend to serve you even more.
In the upcoming weeks, you will notice more resources becoming available on Fertile Field. You will see a calendar of events, discussion on articles and resources for your Baha'i Campus Associations (such as the Baha'i Campus Activism guide and how to register your club). We are truly excited to offer you these things and we are doubly excited to hear your feedback. You will notice that on most of the articles posted on Fertile Field you now have the ability to post your reactions. Feel free to post your thoughts and/or drop us a line anytime: youth[at]usbnc.org or collegeclub[at]usbnc.org.
Because we are interested in your world, we like to choose topics for Fertile Field that reflect your realities. That is why we decided to theme this edition "The Music Issue." We understand that music often shapes and defines your experiences, and vice-versa. Many of you are artists, songwriters, and musicians and many of you are avid consumers of music of all kinds. Whether you listen to music at a concert, in your car, on your headphones or in your house--music is around us all the time and is often a foundational element of our characters. In this issue, we hope to tap into these realities and inspire discussion, thought and action.
We thank the contributors for this issue, and again, we love feedback and we look forward to hearing from you!
With much love,
The Fertile Field editorial team
