The Youth Desk, under the National Teaching Committee, provides resources for and guidance to all Baha'i Campus Associations. The Youth Desk's "Baha'i Campus Activism" guide outlines the steps necessary to start a Baha'i Campus Association as well as creative ideas for campus activities, a sample Constitution, information on fundraising, and more! This guide is available to all Baha'i Campus Associations at no cost.
Below are the options to download the "Baha'i Campus Activism" guide and also the approved constitution, both in PDF format and also in Microsoft Word format. If you have any questions or concerns, please email the Youth Desk at youth [at] usbnc.org.
According to Shoghi Effendi, the Guardian of the Baha'i Faith, “Particular attention should, moreover, be paid to…any contacts that can be made with colleges and universities which offer a fertile field for the scattering of the seeds of the Faith, and afford opportunities for broadcasting its message, and for winning fresh recruits to its strength” (Shoghi Effendi, Citadel of Faith, p. 23). This year, we are building a brand new college club database at the Bahá’í National Center. As you know, in order to be recognized as an official Bahá’í Campus Association (BCA), it is essential that you register your club with the Youth Desk in the National Teaching Office at the Bahá’í National Center every year. This allows the National Spiritual Assembly, the National Teaching Committee and the Regional Bahá’í Councils, to contact you and stay abreast of your association’s needs, activities and opportunities.
In order to facilitate this process, there are certain pieces of information that we need, including the following:
1. School name
2. Name of college club
3. Number of members
4. Faculty Advisor
5. Faculty Advisor’s mailing address, phone number and email address
6. BCA Chairperson’s name
7. BCA mailing address, phone number and email address
8. Sponsoring Local Spiritual Assembly
If possible, please email this information to collegeclub [at] usbnc.org and we will register your BCA. Thanks, and have a great year!
